In case you were interested in hearing what these basses sound like, I'm starting to put some sound files here.

These files are meant for you to have a reference for what these instruments will sound like for you from the start. Most of the samples were recorded with the EQ flat. All were recorded using a Line 6 Bass PODxt with NO modeling. I was just using the USB port as a method to connect to my computer... The tone controls were set flat (with the mid switch set in the "low mid" position) except where noted. Both pickups were wired in Parallel except where noted...

Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that the sound produced by other people could be drastically different from what you hear here. The are a bunch of variables (touch, playing position, etc...) in a individuals playing that can influence the sound of an instrument.

Please remember, the sound is only going to be as good as your computer speakers can produce. You may want to listen to these through a nice pair of headphones...

Oh... and... No making fun of my playing... :)

B1

Strings = Elixer, about 1/2 gig old...

  EQ Setting Pickup Setting Notes:
Groove Everything Flat Both in Parallel
Walk Everything Flat Both in Parallel
Slap Tone Everything Flat Both in Parallel
Fretted Fretless Everything Flat Neck in Parallel, Bridge in Series. Neck pickup rolled off a little bit, favoring the bridge pickup. A bit of obnoxious chorus effect... My fault... It sounds good live...
Dubtone Everything Flat Both in Series
