This bass has a maple fretboard, and walnut tops on the tulipwood body wings...

The electronics and pickups consist of a 9V system by Bartolini. The configuration is as follows: Master Volume, Balance, Treble, Middle (w/ 3 position switch for mid frequency), and bass. There is also an additional switch for switching the bridge pickup between series and parallel wiring.

Hardware is all from Hipshot...

I swept up a bit before these pictures were taken... A good friend once told me you weren't doing any work till you were ankle deep in sawdust... :)

This neck was rough cut on a band saw then completely shaped by hand...

The trussrod cover is made of walnut.
It's starting to take shape... This picture is pre-glue-up
Sometimes I get a little help in the shop... :)

Production stopped shortly for a science project...
Getting back on track, the bass has been glued up and is starting to take shape...
View from the back...
The control cavity turned out cleaner than my bench did... :)
The pickup cavities are routed...
